Santidad

Santidad is a highly religious nation, first established to be a haven for the followers of Holy Sanctity

Culture

Santidad is an inherently religious nation, initially being established as a safe haven for followers of the Holy Sanctity and being ruled by La Santa Sarrajo, the religious leader of Sanctines. As such, the religion and practices of the Holy Sanctity is deeply intertwined with the culture and structure of Santidad. There is no separation of church and state leading to the rules of Sanctity to be the laws of Santidad which must be upheld by all citizens - including those who aren't Sanctine.

Religion

Almost everyone in Santidad follows the Holy Sanctity. While other religions are present they appear in such small numbers that it's ultimately numerically insignificant. Only about 0.1% of people living in Santidad practice other religions.

Laws

Private buildings used for offices or workplaces, and public buildings where many people congregate such as libraries, musums, and restaurants are required to have dedicated silent rooms for prayer. These rooms must have multiple stalls, all lined with silencing padding to allow for multiple individuals to pray privately and quietly.   The Santidad Palace takes up the space of multiple city blocks, and it is illegal to speak within 500 feet of it. Related, la Santa Sarrajo almost never leaves the palace, but if they do it is illegal to knowingly speak within 50 feet of them. Breaking these laws is punishable with a fine of up to $1500 for the first offense, and up to $10000 for repeat offenses.   Businesses, schools, and any organization that requires the presence of students or employees may not be in operation on Sunday mornings between 8 AM and 12 PM. Additionally, an owner of a business or school can not require employees or students to work on Sundays, but employees or students may choose to work/attend on Sundays. Attempting to coerce an employee or student to work on Sunday and threatening to punish them for refusing is punishable by fine.
