Gnomes in Space

Gnomes are generally creatures of forest and loam, but that is an environment that tends to be in short supply in Wildspace. Enter the Gnomi of Krynn. Known back home as "Tinker Gnomes" the Gnomi habitually find ways to "improve" on anything or have an ingenious solution for a problem, then another improvement or solution for the new problem they just created solving the last, then another..... Gnomi managed to get themselves off Krynn on their own, using chemical propellants or other indescribable, un repeatable experiments; and the ones who survived this elevation found a wide and wonderful new set of experiences waiting for them.

Now, you can find Gnomes almost anywhere, and the brave captain can purchase their handicraft usually for a discount if they're willing to roll the dice on if it will function when they need it to. Strangely, the Arcane seem to have a paternal relation with the Tinker Gnomes, which is a terrifying thought to most of the inhabitants of civilized wildspace.
