Himeji Castle

The castle, also known as the “White Heron,” stands tall, guarding the southern approach to Shinjuku. It is built on a large prominatory of rock. Visitors can explore its labyrinthine tunnels and pathways, immersing themselves in centuries of history.   Surrounding the castle, a village thrives under the watchful gaze of the elegant and visually spectacular castle above.
