Jorryn Loudpeak
The Eternal Wanderer
(a.k.a. Changyou (长游), which means "eternal travel" or "long journey.")
Jorryn Loudpeak is a Gnome who became a psychopomp. He was once a cleric of Ketenem, but after death, Ketenem chose him to become a guardian of the souls of the dead. Jorryn is responsible for guiding the souls to the afterlife, and his abilities are often sought after by those who seek to contact the spirits of their departed loved ones. He is known to be a gentle and compassionate guide, and his presence often brings comfort to those who are grieving. Jorryn is also known for his musical abilities, and his voice has been said to be able to calm even the most agitated spirits.
While Ketenem has many humanoid forms that he enjoys taking, he has a special fondness for the form of Jorryn Loudpeak, a gnome who had become a psychopomp. In this form, Ketenem takes on the appearance of a kindly old man with a bushy white beard, round spectacles, and a large floppy hat. He speaks in a high-pitched, friendly voice and carries a staff adorned with small bells that tinkle merrily as he moves.
Ketenem finds it particularly amusing to appear as Jorryn when he needs to interact with mortals, as the guise allows him to be both friendly and approachable, while still wielding immense power. However, he is always careful to avoid doing anything that might tarnish the memory of his friend or upset those who knew him in life.
