Sky Watchers

The Sky Watchers are a formidable unit within the Grand Trivin Army, tasked with defending the northern border of the Trivin Empire against aerial threats from the Sky'Sovereign nation. These soldiers are highly trained and skilled in the art of warfare, and are equipped with a range of weapons and technologies to help them stop enemy-flying troops.
To defend against flying enemies, the Sky Watchers
employ a variety of tactics and strategies. They use spear launchers to launch spears at Aarakocra, Kenku, and Owls, and form shield walls with Trivin soldiers, with the captain often carrying a magical shield to protect against storms of arrows and blasts of magic spells and fireballs. The Sky Watchers also use ballistae mounted on wagons to fire upon flying foes, with nets or bolases to bring them down, or use a magical bolas called a Bane Weight that becomes heavier the closer it is to feathers.

In addition to these tactics, the Sky Watchers also use ranged weapons such as longbows and heavy crossbows and melee weapons like spears and javelins to attack flying enemies. They may also employ mages who use spells like Earthbind or gravity or wind spells to disrupt flight and cause enemies to fall to their deaths. The Sky Watchers have also developed a more recent tactic called the Horse'o'Glide, which involves using a paraglider pulled by a horse to allow for unnatural flight, allowing soldiers to throw spells, arrows, or Bane-weights closer to their flying foes. The Sky Watchers may also use towers with gliders to gain additional height and better position themselves to attack flying enemies.
Overall, the Sky Watchers are a highly trained and skilled unit within the Grand Trivin Army, equipped with a range of tactics and technologies to defend against enemy flying troops and protect the northern border of the Trivin Empire.
