The Colossal Wars

Military action

51AGC

After the First Great War, the Dragons rose to power and subjugated many humanoid settlements across Rondo, the Giants however liked to keep more to themselves and hid away in great mountains and sky fortresses only interacting with humanoids when they saw fit. With free reign to stomp all other races underfoot the Dragons grew bigger and fatter and greedier until eventually, they sought to destroy the only other competitors on Rondo, the Giants.

The Colossal Wars are disputed by scholars whether it's one Long War or many smaller wars as it was recorded to have spanned centuries. It is said that there was not continuous warfare, but dragons and giants have longer lifespans than humans so the scale was unsurely different so accurate details are sparse.
For both the Dragons and the Giants the line between the gods and "mortals" is blurry from the perspective of humans. So from their perspective, the Ordening and Draconic Pantheon Remnant (after the Eldritch Encounter) getting involved was only natural.
The impact though left both groups a shadow of their former selves with neither side winning, the Draconic Empire was sundered, the giant and dragon population drastically shrunk and the draconic pantheon remnant wiped out with only Tiamat and Bahamut surviving but even they succumbed in the intervening years completely annihilating the draconic pantheon.
The Ordening did slightly better as Annam and Stromnus survived, with Anam Abdicating, Stromnus become the new king but the Pantheon was a shadow of its former self.
