Humanoids of Ropla

List of different kinds of humanoids that can be found in the world of Ropla

Dryad

A tree people originating from Svarta. Many are completely black due to the effects of Necrosis and easily spread it when moving to other territories, though the condition doesn't thrive as well elsewhere. Dryads are generally unfriendly to visitors of the Black Forest, as negrosis makes them aggressive. Dryads outside of Svarta typically become friendlier and change colour over time. Their legs look a lot like logs, while their torso and head look more human, apart from the wooden texture and the leaved and flowery structures rising from their scalps.

Dwarf

Originating from the cold mountains of Arctic Points, this species of short stubby humanoids looking very similar to humans, prefer staying underground in caves and mines for their entire lives. They don't care much for what happens topside, unless they feel the effects in their homes. Other species are only allowed in the cave entrance halls. In spite of their preference for cave habitats, some do venture out, which has resulted in the 2nd main clan having made their home in Solar Flare Range.

They are incredibly skilled at magic and use it to protect their base from the lightning which is rampant at Black Rock. They have colorful bodies and smooth rubbery skin, which is not much in terms if resistance to physical damage, but makes them immune to lightning damage and generally resistant to magic.

Lesser Humanoids

Creatures with humanoid shapes and some degree of sapience, but considered less sapient than higher humanoids. This definition is highly discussed among the species with many protests from creatures within this category. They generally have child or animal like behavior, but is sentient enough to understand and follow and participate in conversations with higher humanoids. This includes fairies, some trolls and some giants. A few spirits are also included in this category.

Mixes

Some humanoids can breed and have viable offspring with each other in spite of their differences with no problems at all, such as humans and skaga. others require help from magic or the likes to combine and produce offspring. Some mixed offspring are incapable of producing their own offspring, others do so easily. As such some humanoid breeding lines slowly mix so that pure individuals of one species become less common.
