Humanoids of Ropla
List of different kinds of humanoids that can be found in the world of Ropla
Dryad
A tree people originating from Svarta. Many are completely black due to the effects of Necrosis and easily spread it when moving to other territories, though the condition doesn't thrive as well elsewhere. Dryads are generally unfriendly to visitors of the Black Forest, as negrosis makes them aggressive. Dryads outside of Svarta typically become friendlier and change colour over time. Their legs look a lot like logs, while their torso and head look more human, apart from the wooden texture and the leaved and flowery structures rising from their scalps.Dwarf
Originating from the cold mountains of Arctic Points, this species of short stubby humanoids looking very similar to humans, prefer staying underground in caves and mines for their entire lives. They don't care much for what happens topside, unless they feel the effects in their homes. Other species are only allowed in the cave entrance halls. In spite of their preference for cave habitats, some do venture out, which has resulted in the 2nd main clan having made their home in Solar Flare Range.Elf
Thin bodied species with long slender limbs, tall faces, and pointy ears. Originating from Konom, the elves are excellent climbers and make only little noise as they move.Gik
This species make their home in Black Rock where their capital city hovers above the sharp and pointy magnite rocks through a combination of magnetical engineering and magic. They are incredibly skilled at magic and use it to protect their base from the lightning which is rampant at Black Rock. They have colorful bodies and smooth rubbery skin, which is not much in terms if resistance to physical damage, but makes them immune to lightning damage and generally resistant to magic.Human
The dominant of the humanoid species on Ropla, this species is crafty and curious, but also quite reckless, when it comes to the consequences of their own actions and decisions.Mer
The gilled humanoid species of Mern, these humanoids survive best in water and are extremely territorial. The blue tint of their skin and small fins makes them difficult to see from above water, but very agile within it.Mitari
This species in which adult individuals are the size of 6 year olds, have a set of wings and often brightly coloured hair and skin. They live at the top of mangrove trees of Slemp when not partnered up with a sotari. They are almost always cheerful and excited, with a welcoming attitude towards strangers. This makes them perfect partners for the sotari as they aim to teach other species how to treat the planet respectfully.Morph
This species is closely related to animals. Each individual will have features they share with their spirit animal, such as hair colour, voice or tail. They also often replicate common behavior characteristics of these species. Morphs can obtain the ability of transformation and are found in a large variety of areas around Ropla, though most are uncomfortable spending large amounts of time within cities.Skaga
The Skaga inhabited Skygst long before it became a slum. They were an isolated people mainly concerned with their own lives. They lived on rocky areas under which they often dug tunnels for moving around quietly. They are masters of stealth and very similar to humans apart from the dark tint of their skin, the black rocky patterns on their bodies and their long fingers and toes.Sotari
These big eyed humanoids are protecters of nature and see it as their duty to calmly educate other humanoids, and generally care for the planet. They have serious a nature and often partner up with a mitari. Their natural habitat are the wet caves under Slemp , but they rarely live in large groups and prefer to not stay at the same spot for too long, which is why only one Sotari city ever existed. They must frequently leave their natural habitat to perform their duties, and will therefore be found all over the planet.Yeti
A large species covered in white fur, this species originates from Snowy Hills, but are also common in Frost and Gigantum. Their size and fur makes them highly durable, though their level of intelligence is below average for most individuals.Lesser Humanoids
Creatures with humanoid shapes and some degree of sapience, but considered less sapient than higher humanoids. This definition is highly discussed among the species with many protests from creatures within this category. They generally have child or animal like behavior, but is sentient enough to understand and follow and participate in conversations with higher humanoids. This includes fairies, some trolls and some giants. A few spirits are also included in this category.Mixes
Some humanoids can breed and have viable offspring with each other in spite of their differences with no problems at all, such as humans and skaga. others require help from magic or the likes to combine and produce offspring. Some mixed offspring are incapable of producing their own offspring, others do so easily. As such some humanoid breeding lines slowly mix so that pure individuals of one species become less common.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
