Titans appear to free the Giants.

Over time, the oldest and strongest Giants became something greater than their kin, gifted with the wisdom of ages, the endurance and strength won from years of battle and labour, and the connection to elemental powers that Giant-kind had lived all their lives in service to.   These Giants, called Titans, were supremely powerful individual Giants that chose to fight back against the Primordials that only wished to consume and destroy the planet, and were ultimately revered as divine.
