White Bastion

The White Bastion is a grand and magnificent library located within the Ardenals. Its exterior is made of a pristine white marble with veins of grey and crimson. The complex consists of several connecting buildings, but at its centre stands a tall Spire. However, there is also a series of subterranean catacombs made of a strange, oily black stone which serves as the restricted and secure section of the White Bastion. This library is considered the oldest continuous Human library and is home to the Donagogues, who serve as advisors to the Lords of Thaxnoria and some of the Free States. Access to this library is highly regulated, and it is a place of great knowledge and power. The Donagogues serve as advisers primarily to the Lords, and Monarchs of Thaxnoria, and also some of the Free States' Lords.
The White Bastion is renowned for its vast collection of knowledge and its secrecy. Access to the restricted section is granted only to members of the order, who must undergo rigorous background checks and a series of tests to prove their worthiness. Within the restricted section, the Donagogues have access to forbidden tomes, ancient texts, and powerful magic artefacts.
The Donagogues' reach extends far beyond the walls of the Bastion and they have been known to have their eyes and ears in every corner of Runetalras. Despite this, the Donagogues officially maintain a neutral stance in most political matters, however, it is whispered that they are secretly manipulating events to their advantage.
