Utility

The material can be used for almost everything, from the coats worn by the Shadow Army to the gowns that Valentina and some of the other women wear to the canvas tents used by soldiers and even more permenant structures like the The Pavilion classroom in the Faeris School.

Manufacturing

The making of the cloth is the same as the making of any type of cloth, either woven or skinned from the animals. The enchanting is the more complicated step, requiring the complete focus of the person and a belief from them that they can call the power from the earth to do it and infuse the material with it.

Social Impact

In the wider world, most are oblivious to its existance. It has had a huge impact for the Shadow Army who use it almost every day of their lives.

Access & Availability

This can only be made by highly skilled Faeris and as such is used almost exclusively by the Shadow Army and the highest ranking members of the Royal Army as a means of defence.

Complexity

The required componants are almost too simple, the regular cloth is the only physical componant required. The magic comes from the power of the Faeris perfoming the spell to strengthen the fabric and give it the ability to protect the user.

Discovery

The ability to create such feets of magical enginering was discovered so long ago that no one now knows who first managed it.
