Polodnitsa (Spirit of Noon)
Polodnitsa are the Quotidian Spirits of Noon in the Old Beliefs. Always tall beautiful female spirits, with woven crops through their hair, they hold the midday as a sacred time of rest and will pinch or pull the hair of anyone working (particularly working the fields) at this time.
