Sabre Elf

Sabre Elves are the descendents of the elves who conquered the Sabrelands. Due to living in such close proximity to the Sabre Drow, intermixing between the two ethnicities has led to most Sabre Elves developing a purple tinge to their skin. The main exception to this are the Zimavedma clan, who have maintained their pale complexions as a result of their ties to the Zima Spirits.

Naming Traditions

Family names

Following in the tradition of the Sabre Drow, Sabre Elves have a single name that is passed down through the family, adding an "a" if the child is female. They are then given the honorific based on their station in the family unit, and relative age to the speaker, and they usually go by this. e.g. Middle-aged Papa Ivan would have: his father Dadushka Ivan and mother Baboushka Ivana; his wife Mama Ivana, his older son Malchyck Ivan and older daughter Devochka Ivana; his younger son Malysh Ivan and younger daughter Malyshka Ivana.
