Soraen split into kolbs and veks (vekorna).
A group of dissatisfied soraen move south across the deep desert of Nepral. Their skin dries out, becoming yellow and cracking, but they wear it as a symbol of their new species. All future kolbs have yellow skin from maturity. Soraen that remain in the north take the name vek, and wear silver faceplates when they go south of Rubiel into the deserts.
