Dolphin

With the common names of dolphin, in Onfalu, are called several species of small cetaceans between 1.5 and 4 meters with a long nose.   Recently, after the contact of the Study Group for Cetacean-Human Cooperation with Coral Pod, a mixed bottlenose and striped dolphin pod, and the consequent developement of the D-limba, dolphins started to be effectively used for military and industrial espionage with the creation of the Dolphin Special Operation Corps. The possibility of other forms of collaborations are in some people (and many dolphins') minds, should the codes for the D-limba become available to the public.   Three species of Dolphins are common in the sea surrounding Onfalu.

Tursiop

Is the biggest and most common dolphin in Onfalu and the first that started to cooperate and communicate with humans. Currently 9 of the 11 dolphins in the Dolphin Special Operation Corps are Tursiops.

Striped Dolphin

It is the second most common species and the only other known to have developed understanding of the D-Limba. At the moment one of them is active member of the Dolphin Special Operation Corps, while another is in training.

Common Dolphin

Shier than the other two, at the moment it is unknown if this spacies has the capacity to understand the D-limba and to communicate effectively with humans, but plans are in place to estabilish contact with them.
While in some cases Tursiops and Striped Dolphin join in the same pod, it is not the norm, and to this date it's not been found a mixed pod that includes Common Dolphins, in Onfalu's waters. This fact made estabilishing a contact with this third specie more difficult.
