Dark Elf
The other elvish ethnicity most commonly seen in Sagrea. As the name implies, Dark Elves are mostly known for their swarthy skin hues alongside their nomadic past. Their culture is the most adventurous of the three elvish subspecies and actively encourages the discovery of something new. This, however, stemmed from the subspecies' desire to do away with many elvish traditions since the beginning of the Penumbral Cycle. As a result, Dark Elves are almost never seen practicing most of them save for a few "core" values such as the Festival of Harmony.
Their approach to cross cultural integration during their nomadic days has led to them having a vastly different set of values, traditions, and even naming trends compared to other elvish subspecies in the modern day. In a more accurate description, the people of Sagrea describe the Dark Elves' culture as "...having a stew of oddly placed ingredients that somehow serve the overall taste well in the end".
They hunt the most meat compared to other subspecies.

Culture
Major language groups and dialects
Common and Elvish.
Culture and cultural heritage
Dark Elf culture is a great amalgam of traits and traditions from other cultures that they encountered. They value their gods, individualism, and a sense of adventure.
Average technological level
Elvish technology is known to contain the highest advancements in magitech. Their use of selenite has allowed them to emulate many real world inventions such as radios and even small cars. Dark Elves tend to focus most of their advancement in magitech weapons and building repairs. Many merchants in Dokkalfheim are renowned for their survival kits and compact pocket tents, making them popular among travellers.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
Aside from the Festival of Harmony, Dark Elves engage in a great hunt in the summer to curb the population of the predatory Barren Worms.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Dark Elves do not have special funeral customs. When someone dies, they simply bury them with a small amount of things they held dear. Of course, grave robbing is considered a dire offense to their departed soul.
Common Taboos
Attempting to disrespect or deface any cultures integrated into their own is seen as the biggest offense one can give a Dark Elf.
Common Myths and Legends
Dark Elf myths are mostly adapted stories taken from other cultures, typically revolving around the creation of the world and anything in it. A more recent "legend", however, is Arsinia's Lament, which tells the story of the titular goddess' ascension and how she expanded the Twilight Desert.
Ideals
Beauty Ideals
While Dark Elves don't share most of the other elvish subspecies ideals, they still gravitate toward the values of lean, muscular males and females with slender bodies and long hair.
Gender Ideals
Males must be kind, but stoic and cunning enough to appear mentally strong under pressure. Females are often expected to be intelligent and confident. Shyness and self doubt are looked down upon, even more so if female.
Courtship Ideals
Much like other elves, Dark Elves adore extreme, over-the-top displays of courtship. Unlike the others, however, they are more likely to revolve their act on the target individual. For example, if the one being courted has a great affinity for a specific flower, the person will do their absolute best to take him or her to a flower field of that type, even if it means they have to make it themselves.
Relationship Ideals
Dark Elves prefer couples to be on equal ground in a relationship. Like the other elvish subspecies, this stems from both parties wishing to keep each other happy for their incredibly long lives.
