Niflheim
Realm of Ice and Mist
The cold realm of ice and mist that the Snow Elves call their home. An isolationist country, Niflheim is surrounded by a thick layer of magical fog, throwing off potential invaders and travelers alike. They greatly value magic to the point of basing their government leaders off how skilled they are as a mage, allowing them to become a magocracy. These values stem from the country's collective desire to discover more about magic as a whole.
Niflheim was the last country known to communicate with the rest of the world, and even then, any chance of interaction with the other nations is very uncommon.
Structure
Niflheim is ruled by a council of skilled mages. Typically, they will elect new members themselves and choose them based on their apparent leadership and magic ability. Should they be inventors of some sort, a well constructed magitech machine may win the favor of a council member.
Public Agenda
Niflheim wishes to discover more ways to advance their knowledge of magic in order to discover more means of using arcane spells.
Assets
Aside from their otherworldly magitech constructs and machinery, the country is covered in a thick layer of fog that the Snow Elves created. This makes it hard for travelers to find their way through Niflheim to reach the next city, or for invaders to discover their targets.
Demography and Population
Niflheim owns the entirety of the northern region of Frigus, a land that happens to share the same name as the country. Save for a few small towns and villages, over 96% of the population consists of Snow Elves.
