Matter Transmitter Prototype

Limitations

The core of the transmitter can only be linked to one other core.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The core of the transmitter prototype houses particles that are quantumly entangled with particles housed in the Matter Receiver Prototype. A ’de-imager‘ converts the matter within its targetting area into quantum infomation and is then sent to the Receiver. A ’blueprint‘ of the matter being transported is created before being converted. This blueprint is then used by the reconstructor when converting the quantum infomation back into matter.

Once two cores are ‘coupled,’ they can be used interchangeably between a transmitter or receiver. In this way, any core can be used to transmit to as long as its corresponding core is installed in a receiver.

History

The first prototype large enough to transport humans, Christopher Besson finish construction on the 4th of Dimset 2500. He would send this prototype to Sabine Kerrish and then conduct the first test on humans by teleporting Sabine from her home in Leystang to his workshop in Stanse.

Significance

The prototype marked the time that matter teleportation became viable. Although previously proven to be possible, the teleportation of matter was unfeasable due to extemely high energy costs. Christopher Besson developed a method which allowed his matter transmitter to operate at a fraction of the power previously required. Even allowing handheld devices to power the transmitter.
