Here is a convenient list of content that just about everyone in Samarya would know. Of course, how much of this your character knows is up to you.

Currency

Most markets follow the Oda Empire standard, where:
10 Copper = 1 Silver
10 Silver = 1 Gold
Paper notes can be obtained and cashed in at most major banks (those friendly to the Odan Empire, that is). Naturally, the price of goods vary depending on region.

History/Current Events

Most people know the events found in the History of Samarya timeline.
The Oda Empire is ruled by Lord Emperor Nagaru Oda.
To the east is the Republic of Kamin.

Calendar

For simplicity, the calendar year is divided into seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. Each season has 28 days, with four weeks each with seven days as normal.
