My fellow investigator,
I just received advance copies of my latest book. They are, if you'll forgive my hubris, quite provocative. Many thanks for your insights along the way. Please find a personal copy enclosed with this letter... the contents may be more surprising than you expect.
You must join me in New Orleans next month to celebrate. I am attending an exclusive symposium entitled, "Death, Darkness, and Delights - Exploring Human Morality." Trust is shall be much less academic than it sounds. There will be artists, writers, historians, and, rumor has it, DANCERS! The organizer, Irina Martin, operates a fascinating occult bookstore int he French Quarter. The funding is by a dear friend, Arnaud Cazenave, who generously offered accommodations for us all. He is most excited to meet you.
You cannot refuse. Listen to me shock them for a half hour, then spend the rest of the weekend sampling the finest cuisine and local libations. I'll telegram the address once I receive your anticipated affirmative reply!
