Kurzol the Toll Troll
Despite his literally trollish appearance, Kurzol became a beloved member of the local communities due to the work he put into the bridges he often lived beneath, keeping them in near perfect condition and being nothing but polite and courteous to passing travelers.
He was eventually hired by the Inquisition to fulfill this role in an official capacity, though with the caveat of also serving as a toll collector, part of an initiative being implemented across the country. Kurzol wasn't happy about the new aspect of his role, but didn't have much of a choice considering how certain factions of the Inquisition treated other magical creatures.
When the Party passed through Kurzol's currently assigned bridge, they ultimately found themselves officially fined by the Inquisition after not only failing to pay the toll but also technically assaulting the distraught Kurzol. While they returned and apologized to Kurzol later, the matter was unfortunately already out of Kurzol's hands.
