Dourstone Mine

The Dourstone Mine is a mineral mine in Lorent. It is owned and operated by the Ragnolin Dourstone Mining Company.

Geography

Dourstone Mine is a small cavern complex rich with iron, quartz, and shale.

Fauna & Flora

In lower areas of the Mine, connections to the Underdark were found during initial surveying. These lower caves were infested with phosphorescent fungi and at least one aboleth, which claimed the life of a surveyors assistant. Before the mine began operation, all connections to the lower caves were blocked off with massive stones.
The surface caves of the Dourstone Mine are primarily host to common lizards, insects, and bats. Due to the ongoing mining operations of Ragnolin Dourstone, any larger life found within the surface caves are either killed or scared away.
