Sanurle

Geography

Soluria

Central on most modern maps, the continent of Soluria has enjoyed relative peace for some 200 years. The Solurian Empire and Kingdom of Astea have brokered a peace on their continent, and trade thrives between them. The past transgressions of the technological Empire have been somewhat repaid in reparations and assistance in rebuilding the more humble townships of Astea, whose rich cultural history has lead to an uptick in entertainment and the interpersonal cultures of Soluria.

Braeland

To the West, Braeland remains a primarily wild land. The eponymous capital thrives with the trade of rare, new creatures and odd components to even odder brews and stews. Adventuring parties strike out from the Northern reaches, seeking to build up new settlements and clear a portion of the dense jungles and forest for their own. Many singularly dangerous creatures abound in these wild lands, and new dangers are discovered almost daily. The central Drak'bon mountains are home to tribes of lizard men that claim to be descended from the Dragons themselves, in time immemorial.

Othad

East of Soluria lies Othad, ancient homeland of the Dwarves, Orcs, and Gnomes. The plains ringing the continent are home to gnomish villages, rife with entertainment and good wine. The high mountain of Otharn is home to the Othadi ClanMasters, safe in complexes dug straight into the mountain itself. Few Orcish tribes remain, primarily settling on the northern islands. The Dwarves of Othad, having found themselves wanting to leave their mark on all of Sanurle have taken to ship-building, and a profitable trade route has been established with the Solurian, Astish, and Brae governments, allowing the Dwarves to provide high quality stone and stonework throughout the world, and to expand their presence globally. It is said that somewhere below Mount Otharn, a number of passages wind ever deeper into the Underdark, a world mirroring the lands above, and connected in few guarded locations throughout the world.

Esnor

Across the Mysty Sea to the south, whose waters and ever present magical storms prevent easy navigation and safe journey, lies Esnor, homeland of the Elves. Having remained enshrouded in mystery both by the physical difficulty in entrance, and the political choices of the Elven Councils for millenia, this land remains a great mystery to most inhabitants of Sanurle. Elves found elsewhere are shy with details about their home, as a general rule, and a few have even indicated danger in sharing information. The Elves have remained powerful for as long as they have lived, occasionally assisting in the destruction of a great power threatening all of the lands of Sanurle. Their magical potency is well known throughout, and their culture is known to be a tapestry woven tightly with the Dragons of millenia past. It is said that they are borne of trees, and council with dragons.
