Grothir (GROW THEAR)
Longspear, the swiftstrike, the once clever
The dwarven god of lightening, Grothir, is bound ever to serve the whims of the storm goddess, Maredeth. He sits at the right foot of her throne. She is said to chain him to her chariot and force him to drive her across the sky, with his brother, Brodik, being drug behind; such is his fate for attempting to best the fickle goddess.

Personal history
It is said that Grothir and Brodik were one of the first dwarves, formed from the clay of Sanzeia and he and his brother bought sought to claim the Storm-maiden as his wife. Maredeth in the end consented, but that she would only belong to the one who could slay the largest stormdrake. Clever Grothir and Fierce Brodik set out and each slew drakes the size of mountains. But when they returned, Maredeth merely laughed, and bid them look at her palace which was carved from the bones of a beast that could wrap around all of Sanzeia. Having bested the brothers, she stripped them, bound their necks in iron chains, and dragged them to her bedchamber where she took turns claiming them.
Gender Identity
While presenting as masculine, Grothir serves Maredeth in ways typically more considered feminine by dwarven traditions.
