Humans

"Humans find their way into everyone's buisness eventually. It's in their nature, nosy little creatures"
Humans are one of the most numerous and diverse races of Saoirse. They inhabit much of the area of Avarend, The Ashen Hills, Zunstradia, Torch's Rest, Silversheim, and The God's Coast.   Humans are extremely varied, and therefore have many different cultures and societies.

Society and Culture

Humans have many different distinct cultures and societies as well as appearences, with some having dark brown or black skin, and others having pale white skin. Some dialect differences exist between human cultures, but most speak something close enough to Imperial Common that conversations are possible.

Imperial

Imperial humans tend to have dark black hair and brown or sometimes golden eyes. They live primarily in the Empire of Avarend and its colonies. Imperial humans are the most numerous of the human cultures, having spread throughout the world quickly. Their language, Imperial Common, has become the main trade language of Saoirse.

Oceran

Ocerans are the humans who live in the eastern continent of Saoirse, and include the people of Corinth and Aveca. These people are sometimes also referred to as "Rinthians", due to Aveca and Corinth sharing common ancestry of the old Rinthian Kingdoms. Ocerans tend to have bright blonde hair, pale and freckled skin, and eyes of green or blue.

Torchman/Zunstradian

Torchmen are the humans who live on Torch's Rest. Few still live on the island, as most moved to Zunstadia during the Second Verse. The humans of Zunstradia are primarily called Zunstadians, although some still refer to themselves as Torchmen or Oilmen. The two still share many gentic simliarities, including pale skin, lighter colored eyes, and smaller builds.

Silverman

The humans of Silvershiem are known as Silvermen, and tend to have grey eyes and dark hair. They are a tall and broad people.

Ash Lords

The humans who remained in the Ashen Hills after the Unlocking of Ethokar would be known as the Ash Lords. They tend to have dark skin, dark hair and have golden eyes with more frequency than their Imperial cousins. They are a nomadic horse riding culture.

Religion

While there are many differences in terminology, practice and specifics of myth, most human cultures worship the sun and Londhor, the Godking. The Church Of Londhor is one of the most powerful religious organizations in Saoirse.
