The Grand Marshall is the highest ranking position in Diligence outside of the Lord-Commander. The Grand Marshall is responsible for the day to day operations of the state and its people. Gustav Caldor may be the single most humorless creature to ever walk Saol and the little joy he does find is in efficient statecraft. A yin to the yang of Agrippa Markaryan, he brings order with merely his presence. His quiet demeanor can also be quite disarming to his opponents as he is a swordsman of truly paragon skill.
