Emperor in Exile

Emperor - or Empress - in Exile [EiE] is hereditary title of the leader of the Restorationalists. It originates from the Holy Emperor of the Great Empire and is established after the empire's destruction. Its very first holder is the infant nephew (nibbling) of the Mad Emperor, Emperor Ionkin. Currently, its hold by Empress Erika the Firm.

Creation

When the Capital city falls and its pyre could be seen from afar, the new Ionkin was crowned as the new Holy Emperor. Neither the death of the old Emperor could be confirmed by anyone alive, nor the Imperial insignia be available, so the coronation couldn't be fulfilled rightly. Instead, to the title was added suffix "in exile" to point that old empire is dead. The first Emperor in Exile, however, didn't live long. The exhaustion and experienced horrors took their toll of him and the boy died before he could celebrate his 19 birthday. His niece, however, has much different fate and was able to shape the entire destiny of the Restorationalists.

Duties and Responsibilities

Initially, all the duties, responsibilites and privileges just copied those of Holy Emperor. Soon enought this prove to be ineffective and changes occur.
