Niselion (nih-sehl-ee-on)

Matron of Youth

An eternally youthful goddess shining with a faint light around them at all times, Niselion was primarily worshipped by the elves of Sarcesta. During the war of Necropolis, Niselion rose from her throne to shield the citizens of Taru Ardenta from the apocalyptic beasts of Necropolis. Cities that were sieged by these beasts found themselves shielded by her presence; these citizens noted that while shielded, for years at a time sometimes, they seemed to stop aging. During the last offense against the Necropolis' children, she gave the rest of herself to creating a massive shield that held hundreds of beasts at bay long enough to allow the citizens of Devrosin to evacuate before their city was destroyed. Her form became one with the shield, leaving nothing behind of the young Niselion.

City of Eternal Life

The elves who worshipped Niselion built the throne city of Eltenriel  around her throne. The citizenry of Eltenriel discovered that the centuries of living near the energy of Niselion granted them increased life getting into the realm of centuries. The heavy presence of the elves in this city eventually led to the species as a whole sharing this boon of greatly increased lifespan.
