The Head of the Library of Forbidden Knowledge. An Ex-Librarian of the Advocates of Xenon, after discovering the shady dealings the sect had been doing with the rich, Valvahan stole away the powerful and potentially dangerous knowledge and artifacts gathered by the Advocates of Xenon and hid them deep within a supposedly emptied dungeon, unknowingly finding a young Beholder and its now deceased mother, its youth caused it to fear the small, frail earthling man, however as Valvahan settled his things and set up camp before sitting and reading on an old brick, the beholder became curious and would often sneak nearby to read what Valvahan read from far behind him, concealed in shadow. One night as Valvahan read, a group of thieves entered the ruins trying to find a place to lure adventurers to their doom, he knew he needed to keep the thieves' hands off the dangerous artifacts, and attempted to combat them despite his age, however as Valvahan fell to the ground, bloodied by the thieves who far outmatched the old man, the Beholder attempted to protect Valvahan, having grown quite attached to him. Despite the beholder's traditionally incredible power, his young age prevented him from using his true abilities. Valvahan seeing the Beholder struggling used a telepathic spell to speak with the monster.
"We lack power together little one, but if i use forbidden magic to fuse us, we may survive, though we will be bound forever."

The dungeon was suddenly engulfed in purple and red flames as Valvahan stirred the magic within a strange brass orb, the flames swirling and collecting around him and the beholder.
"jennu vers di drakolic, ganim hesi sepa vur mamissi malrak vur vehafor vi jennuilt tiamo de hesi vers" Valvahan chanted, as the flames encompassed the two of them. all at once the flames were drawn into the two of them as their bodies seemed to turn into fireballs of white and then fly into the orb, the artifact then exploded as they converged, leaving the incredible and destructive aura of the two, now merged together into one form.

A large eyeball between his regular two that can cast and Anti-magic field, he usually keeps it covered by a large headband to prevent the Antimagic field from being cast.

Physical quirks

Despite covering his main eyes with blindfolds, he uses his eye stalks to see around him, and removes his blindfolds in combat, using his human eyes against melee users, and his Beholder eye against spell-casters for its anti-magic field, thus opting for physical combat.

Special abilities

Valvahan has his Beholder half's levitation, eye-stalks and anti-magic field, while keeping his human half's flexible humanoid body.

Apparel & Accessories

He wears a large headband over his third eye, and then a smaller blindfold over his main eyes to trick others into thinking he is a Gorgon, he wears a long cloak and light comfortable Tabi-style leggings, as he usually prefers to levitate when moving.
