Wood Elves of Gwydyr

History

The wood elves of the forests of Gwydyr are a very elusive people. And they tend to not involve themselves with outside sources and countries unless it is for the better of their people. Not all wood elves are aloof however. But their kingdom is one that remains distant from other nations. This wood elves came to be after their king, Lord Gaèralagossion, came into an argument with his sister, the high priestess Ilcallë. He believed his sister was risking the lives of their people too much in trying to help the other people of this world. He sought to preserve the ways of his people as well as the people themselves. The argument ended with Gaèralagossion leaving the Seradim Isles for the ancient forests of Gwydyr with a fairly large amount of elves. He has never seen his sister since nor spoken to her. It is said that the wood elves have enchanted the forest to keep outsiders away that would seek to do harm to them or to the forest. Others still speculate that the forest itself has a mind of its own and the elves use the forest as a natural defense mechanism as well. Regardless anyone else who has tried to settle in the forest has either come back unsuccessful speaking of trees moving on their own, or never heard from again.
