A female run society known for their great strength and great size as well as their quickness to anger. They can withstand quite a bit a physical punishment as well as some magical punishment. They tend to respect anyone who can match their strength.

Amazons are well known for their bad temperament. They have a strong dislike of outsiders. Amazons tend to stick to themselves. Female amazons have a huge superiority complex and let nothing get in their way. Males tend to cower in a females presence but, still has to remain quick on his feet.
Amazons buy and sell slaves, especially males. After a battle Amazons are used to kill off ugly males, and sell the others, so the male slaves are usually pretty boys. Amazons love showing off their strength and many challenge one another for ranking and pure sport.

Physical Description

Amazons come of age at the age of 20. When they come of age they face a series of ritual tests that will demonstrate their ability to fight and survive (usually some sort of solo hunt.)
Female Amazons are exceptionally tall, ranging from 180 to 200 cm and typically weigh 75-120 kg, while the male is much shorter. Males from the island of Colchis are usually 160-180 cm tall and weigh around 50-100 kg. Amazons tend to have the very dark skin of a Rodhian and generally have dark hair with brown or green eyes. But, given the habit of mating with males of other ethnic groups, it is not strange to see Amazons with other skin and hair colors.
Many Amazons have tribal tattoos that cover their entire body and represent their achievements and status. Amazons usually wear cloths of neutral colors, as is tradition, but Amazons who live outside their homeland for a while begin to appreciate other clothing styles and hairstyles.

Relations

The first contact with an Amazon usually begins in hostile or competitive terms as they tend to have to establish the newcomer's strength and whether he is worthy of respect or not. If the new contact is a male, the Amazon will evaluate him primarily as a sexual object and only later, perhaps, as a person.
They respect orcs for their brute strength and dwarves are considered as vigorous as the Amazons themselves and respected for their strength and honor. They tend to get along well with other humans, depending on the personal strength of the individual they come into contact with. They find the Gnomes irritating and unreliables. The Garowians have developed a culture similar to that of the Amazons, so they are the people with whom they get along best.

Adventurers

Many Amazons, usually females, venture out for glory and to better their ranking in their society. The rare few males venture to prove their worth as a mate and for the sheer greed of valuables.

• Medium: As a Medium Creature a Amazon has no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Amazon base land speed is 6 Hex.
• Weapon Proficiency: Female Amazons receive the "Bow and Crossbow Weapon Training", "Swords Training" and "Long Weapons Training" as bonuses. Seeing how all female amazons are familiar with these weapons because they are the hunters and warriors.
• Hate: +1 racial bonus on attack rolls against Kamamayan. Amazons battle Kamamayan warriors frequently over territories and practice special techniques in fighting them.
• Hunter Sense: +2 Racial bonus on Perception, Stealth and Hide.
• Woodland Stride: An Amazon can move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at his normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Terrain that is enchanted or magically manipulated to impede motion still affects the character as normal.
• Favored Class: Ranger. Being a ranger comes naturally for the female amazons because they often track their food in the harsh jungles of the Kingdom of the Amazon.

• -2 Strength and +4 Charisma: Males are much weaker than females so they have less strength and deal with others more often than their female counter parts.
• Medium: As a Medium Creature a Amazon has no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
• Amazon male base land speed is 6 Hex.
• Socialite: +2 racial bonus to diplomacy, sense motive and bluff. Males use these skills frequently to prove to the females they are worthy mates instead of a meal for the buzzards.
• Passive Search magical traps: A male amazon who merely passes within 5 feet of a magical trap is entitled to a search check as if actively searching for it.
• +2 against spells and spell like effects: Males generally use spell casting daily.
• +2 Stability: Against trip and bull rush but, only when standing on the ground. Males have great stability in order to dodge from their brutal counterparts.
• Favored Class: Warlock
