Returning to Alasia, Prince Jihen begins to have all the notables of the empire assassinated, sometimes replacing them with his own faithful, sometimes leaving the leadership positions empty. Over the course of the year, these assassinations will affect at least a hundred nobles of various ranks. Many military territories and garrisons remain without orders and without commanders. Many peripheral territories take advantage of this to overthrow the Imperial power and declare themselves independent.
