The Tale
Where most of the wall of the first men had fallen into giant rubble, there was one part in which the roots of the blood tree held it high.
The blood tree, its bark as white as the newly fallen snow, sprung from earth as if it were its bones.
Its leaves red as the sun that marches up in the morning, always growing, as if the earth bled.
In the crown of the walls sits a lonely maiden I once met, bald and half-ears of elf, this lonely widow would bless every traveler which passed under her king.
Interpretation
The wall referenced is the great wall thats still partially standing through Sturgia, The King in this story is the giant blood tree that partially grows on the wall, which indeed has white bark and red leaves.
The Maiden is an ancient half-elven woman who is the trees protector, and often spoke with adventurers or traded with them.
