Find the missing airship

These notes are a collection of all the presented information, the page of each character has the information they gave.

The airship

The first prototype of the airship of Lomas Bronzemask was stolen. None of the 4 present guards heard or saw anything.
On the 23rd, kai left at 6:30, Ale & Emil left around 8/9, Tarhun left around 11/12, Jim left around 12, Petr left around 2am.
Tarhun last took note of the ship in the afternoon, but did not pay attention when he left. Kai saw the ship at 6 when he left. Petr didn't pay attention to the ship as he left.
Petr met Yara as he left. Jim met Celia as he left.
It was noted missing the next morning by Kai Jäger (Assistant) at 8am, he had been there for an hour before noticing.
On the 24th, Kai arrived around 7, Ale around 8, Tarhun around either 9 or 10/11. Kai and Ale mention Emil arrived 30 min / an hour after Ale, Tarhun mentioned Emil arrived after him. Jim arrived between 11 and 2.
Tarhun went into the city to message Lomas and contact the Eye, Jim arrived early in the meantime. Petr arrived later.
Lomas was away at the time with the other airship, but returned the same day.
No specific enemies were noted that would steal the airship.
The ship is powered by magic instead of air, through the use of magic-storing stones. It is roughly the size of a house.
To fly, the ship would need said magic stones, and a pilot. With ideal conditions, it could fly for a week, enough time to reach the coast.
To leave the docks, the hangar doors would need to be opened, which weren't heard. They were also closed the next morning. They did not appear to have been opened.
The ship mainly held emotional value to Lomas, and material value in it's construction. No other noted items on board.
The Eye has not found anything. There were no traces of illusion or teleportation magics found, unless an item was used. No signs of a break-in were found, all employees were questioned.
The Eye eventually stopped asking nicely what happened while investigating Kai.
Lomas attempted to scry on the ship, but the spell failed. Scry could be circumvented with an item.

Emils death

Emil was experimenting with Ale to use a gas assumed to be a Cloudkill by Tarhun for an engine the early morning of the 26th.
The cannister/barrel used to contain the gas leaked, Emil had trouble breathing and Ale got away before more appeared.
Ale later added that the barrel was meant to connect to a pipe system, Emil attempted to remove it which caused the big cloud.
Tarhun saw the gas from distance, large cloud, orangey and lingered for several hours. Found a barrel next to the machine.
The gas described by Tarhun doesn't match Cloudkill, nor do the burn-scar injuries of Ale and Emil.
On the 25th, Ale & Emil were still working when Jim left.
On the 26th, Kai arrived first, the accident already happened. Tarhun arrived later and "took care of everything".
Jim was sent home on the 26th and didn't clean anything from the accident.
Ale was already outside and taken away, returned on the 28th with burn scars.
Emil was sent to body procressing, but is unlikely to already be cremated. No family was contacted.
Kai mentioned he had never worked with a chemical like that, and that the death was strange.
Jim mentioned Tarhuns painting being a few weeks old.

Theories & Questions

Was the ship downsized using a spell and smuggled out?
Was this ship the intended target? Or only stolen because the improved ship was away at the time?
Did the Eye check the guards for enchantment spells / specifically Modify Memory. (Ask Tarhun)
Why are there no guards stationed in his workshop? (Ask Tarhun)
Was Emil's death an accident? Or done to keep him quiet about something? Their corpse has likely not been cremated yet (use Speak with Dead)
Is the airship in Tarhuns painting?? How literal of an inside job was this? (Use Detect Magic / Identify on the painting - if its a demiplane / other plane the Scry would fail)
Were Emil and Ale there all night between the 25th and the 26th? (Check with the guards)
What gas / chemical caused Emils death? It didnt seem to be in the logs. (Find out Lomas' chemical supplier & question?)
