(a.k.a. Maximilian Geyser)

Maximilian Geyser was a Torresian, who fled the country to Meropis to avoid the Chantry. In Meropis, he invented and developed a magical skill called Lightweaving, which involved creating weapons out of magical light. His district took in many to teach these skills, and held about a third of the total population within Meropis.   Over time, Maximilian became more extremist in his belief that those powerful in magic should rule over those without, which clashed with the rule of The Wizard. In the year 1130, fighting between the Golden Sword and other factions in the city broke out, during which two rituals were being held, blocking teleportation magic and sealing the entrances to the city. The ultimate aim was to oust The Wizard, claim The Tower and use its powers to control magic within the city. From there, he would move on to other countries.   A taskforce was gathered by the Wizard, aiming to disrupt the rituals, kill Maximilian's closest allies, and using a necklace to teleport Maximilian himself to the Wizard to be dealt with. They succeeded in these tasks. On the way to the Wizard, the sound of a Silistran hurdy-gurdy was heard by everyone within the city. A green beam emerged from the tower to surround the Golden District, before closing in, killing the inhabitants.   On the tower, the force held on as long as they could to buy The Wizard time, while Maximilian used the power of the perished citizens to become a massive, four-armed, light weaving being. During this battle, several of them were slain, before being brought to Maximilians' Divine Domain. Eventually, The Wizard was able to gather enough power to overcome Maximilian, transporting them to his own Divine Domain, turning time back to before his allies were slain, and removing Maxmilian Geyser from time. This resulted in no one (except, perhaps, the wizard himself) being able to remember anything about the man.
