Trimer
Trimer is a reasonably large city and one of the major ports within Bellerose, though it's hardly the largest. It's a multileveled city built on hills near the shore, several channels running inland and providing the equivalent of main streets. Some small boats navigate these waterways, but more realistically, its citizens take to boardwalks built along the edges of these hills. Lower-class citizens often live in housing built closer to the water ("The Lower Paths"), sometimes just above the high tide (and certain to get wet in a storm), while upper class citizens live quite literally above them ("The Upper Paths" or even "The Hilltop"). Sturdy foundations within the hills prevent anyone from getting washed away in most cases, at least if you're above the lowest points in the city.
The four major hills within Trimer each have their own proper names, called such for the first members of Bellerose nobility to lay claim to them. Locals and people who frequent the city know them by more colloquial names, though Loyalists tend to keep the original names and state them with pride. Azall (the Ports to most) is the northernmost district and home to most of the seaside work and docks; though all four sections have this to some degree, the Ports is entirely focused around industries such as fishing and dock work. Truhela (the Market) is primarily a business district. Nefi (the Seat) is a residential area and also the seat of government; even the lowest class housing in Nefi is considered higher class than lower class housing in other areas. Novrone (the Base) is primarily occupied by Navy members and their families, though other housing exists; at the top of Novrone, there's a small naval base and prison used primarily for small, local offenses and to hold prisoners for future transport.
