Amos Pomroy

Amos Pomroy is a New Orleans native although he has few living family members in the city. Still, he has managed to maintain strong ties to the community and is popular at parties. His easygoing manner and general gallantry are always a favorite among the ladies although he is hard to approach as he nearly always has Mrs. Mildred McGrath on his arm. Prior to the arrival of the McGrath's in the city, he was often seen going stag but has since found himself surrounded by a group of close-knit friends. 
A doctor by trade, he is a well-to-do bachelor in the city. It is often noted that it is remarkable how a handsome young bachelor has not found a wife in a city with so many eligible young women. His general disinterest in women has made it quite notable that he is unmarried and has, perhaps added to the talk.
