Shengtai Main Entrance

There are only four passages through the enormous outer wall of Shengtai, one each in Ward One, Ward Three, Ward Five, and Ward Seven.
This passage through the outer wall is wide enough for up to five people to pass through side by side, and twice as tall. The outer side of the passage is guarded by two large wooden doors reinforced with metal banding, which swing outwards when opened. The inner side of the passage features a heavy metal gate that is hauled up and out of the way by chains and can easily be dropped at a moment's notice.
During the day, when the doors and gate remain open, the passageway is staffed by a number of guards from both the Imperial Order and the Imperial Army. Order members verify everyone who passes through and block entrance to anyone without the correct armband. At night when the doors and gate close, the order members leave and no one is permitted to enter or exit. Soldiers from the Imperial Army continue to guard the passageway even at this time.
To the right and left of the passage are a pair of guard towers, also manned at all times by members of the Imperial Army.
