Doshé

Doshé (symbol: Ð) is the primary currency of the civilized galaxy. Though Doshé is said to have originally been directly representative of a portion of physical wealth in some manner or another, that was all pre-Calamity and whatever wealth it stood for has been long forgotten. Doshé is now effectively fiat money, which means it has no intrinsic value - it is only valued because people (namely, a few people in power) say it has value. Basically, money is a lie and the economy is a game played by fat cat capitalists at the detriment of *checks notes* 99% of the galaxy's population.
Doshé is represented by gold and silver hexagons that snap together in honeycomb patterns. For larger purchases, one is able to use a credit crystal - a datacrystal that can be scanned at a register in order to transfer funds securely.
