The Ravages

Near the center of the galaxy lies a debris field large enough to swallow an entire star system. This is all that remains of the star system Kaliburn and the birthplace of humanity. Large asteroids, shards of metal, and space junk aren’t all pilots need to contend with here, though. Radiation blinds sensors and makes communication between ships impossible without line of sight. Additionally, the further one travels into The Ravages, the more they feel the pull of a powerful gravity well at the center. It is speculated to be the pull of a black hole, however the density of the debris field has made it difficult to observe anything within – and no pilots who have dared trek inward towards the center have ever returned.
