Diman Shiroko
He and Catarin Shiroko have a mostly loveless marriage of convenience and do not speak unless necessary. Despite being the child of two people who learned to make Ilyannoi, he had such low magical aptitude that his parents considered it a waste of time to teach him. Because of this, he is extremely jealous of Taras Shiroko's magical ability and thinks he doesn’t deserve the power he has. The violence and indulgence only solidifies in his mind that Taras is completely unfit to be in charge of anything. He is often at odds with Catarin over what to do about him. Rather than stay in the palace, he asked Catarin (and later Taras) for a transfer to a regional office of the Agriculture Department and has been living outside of the Gandenye for the last three years. He thinks a slave should have no place in the family and actively hates Erasure for messing with the dynasty line.
