She was educated in law in the Eoion Empire and then studied for several years in the Yzel Kingdom as well. Andriy did not give her control of the Department of Law due to animosity between the two stemming from childhood. Taras Shiroko did only because Cardus was able to convince him to do so. The violence she observes in the court because of Taras disgusts her, particularly his indulgence and attacks against the family specifically, but like all others, she cannot go directly against him. Instead, she shields the people in her department from her cousin/nephew and tries to not interact with him unless necessary. She hates Erasure deeply for taking away her daughter, Yeva Shiroko's, ‘rightful’ position and sees him as completely unworthy.
