Kilkira Saiwa
Kilkiran Saiwa was born to the Marn people on the northern shore of Eoion. The daughter of a fisherman and merchant, she grew up surrounded by both the sea and the Okenumi. At a young age, she was found to have a talent for music and wrote several songs about the Ilyannoi species she had grown up with. Her music caught the attention of Emperor Liviu I Shiroko (reign 653-692) for its beautiful tribute to the creatures made by the royal family.
The twenty year old composer was brought to the palace and commissioned by Liviu to create music to be played in the new temple she had constructed in Niuus. Kilkira agreed and moved into the Gandenye along with many other courtiers. However, between compositions, she began affairs with several of the other courtiers, male and female, along with servants and sometimes even the spouses of nobility. Stories of her romantic exploits became the subject of intense gossip around the palace. Her music symphonies were said to be dedicated to each of her lovers, one for every person.
In 672, she began an affair with Janji Catariin, the younger sister of Tajanji Fedir (later Emperor Fedir I Shiroko). After this began, all other romantic exploits ceased and her music became solely focused on the princess. These songs became classics of Eoin music and are still considered some of the most romantic every written.
While Catariin and Kilkira were never married due to the Doctrine of Dea-an Heritage, Kilkira continued to write music for her lover. Along with this, she published a fictionalized version of her life, detailing her romantic exploits before the marriage, a book that became extremely popular.
Due to her fame as a romantic, the term 'Saiwabɵ' (pron. sahee'wah'buh) came to describe something or someone with an intense passion, particularly in love.
