Adriella

(a.k.a. Navit Rosa, Hanali, The Muse)

The goddess Adriella is arguably one of the most popular and worshipped gods in the pantheon, receiving more prayers than any other god with the possible exception of Drago . Known for her kindness and gentle spirit, she is generous with her favour to those who exhibit passion and dedication to any pursuit driven by love. She does not, however, favour those looking for an easy in, or out.   The patron of bards, minstrels, and lovers, she delights in charming conversation and is said to have friends among many drakes, wyverns and basilisks, who delight in her company. She is known to be particularly close to Bahamut.

Divine Domains

Love
The goddess is generally considered to be the main benefactor of love in all its forms, whether romantic, platonic, familial, etc. Her favour and blessings are sought after widely, across religions.
Art, Music and Bards
As the Muse, Adriella is often beseeched for blessings in the creative arts, and appealed to by minstrels and showmen the world over. Even those not particularly religious are somewhat superstitious and will ask her blessing or invoke her name before a performance.
Charm and Wit
It is said those who are particularly charming and witty have "Hanali's Tongue." The saying originated among the faerie but is in common usage now.

Holidays

...in seven days would be Lanaea, six holy days given over to the celebration of Life, and the beginning of spring and the new year. Lanaea was the prime part of the year for young artists and musicians to show off their talents, and perhaps acquire a patron for the next year. It was also a celebration of all the things that spring entailed; new relationships would form, many young people would come of age, marriages would take place. The goddess Adriella, the Muse, patron of lovers and artists, would get more than her share of worship during Lanaea, though all the gods associated with the church of Life would be honoured. There was bustle everywhere: seven days for everyone to prepare for the favourite holiday of the year, and it showed.

Personal history

The young faerie who would become Adriella had an inauspicious start to her career as a minstrel. She was not one of those to whom music came easily, but she had a passion for it, and struggled to become at first competent, and eventually excellent. Unfortunately not excellent enough to secure the coveted position of musician of her House (one of the four noble Houses of the Aes Sidhe). Disillusioned, she left the House and went to study further among the Kelts of Annun. Here, she discovered another passion, that of the seeking of knowledge, and became the first person to ever achieve rank as a member of all three schools, becoming Head, Hand, and Heart.

Brides/Grooms of Hanali
There is a small order of priests within the Vitalist, Kelict and Carnalistic faiths, a sort of crossover cult, who are particularly devoted to Adriella in her incarnation as the aes sidhe Hanali. Calling themselves the Brides (or Grooms) of Hanali, they are wildly popular with common people and freely bestow blessings of the goddess, particularly in the areas of fertility and marriage. Those who are married by these priests undertake a solemn vow to be faithful unto death to their partner, and are blessed with the Mark of the Swan, an invisible (though detectable via magic or Sight) sigil that lays a geas of fidelity upon the bearer.   The priests themselves may not marry, in effect already being married to Hanali. This rule should not be confused with or construed as any vow of chastity, however. Membership has its privileges.
