Niú's father rescued Egan from a group of awful boys tormenting him as a kitten, and he'd been living as their family's pet cat Bǎo ever since. That is, until Niú's father died and Niú was struggling on his own.
Nicknames & Petnames
Niú still calls Egan “Bǎo” sometimes out of habit. Egan pretends it annoys him, but he doesn't mind.
History
Egan stole the hair tie Hoshi uses to travel between Earth and The Heavens, led her to Niu and kept it hidden until the two of them had time to start a friendship.
