Beluar was highly skilled with Holy Majik but became a master of Khaos Majik. He had excellent RESOLVE & UNDERSTANDING which aided to his skill and abilities. This paired with his swordsmanship quickly made him a force to be reckoned with.

The Silver Saber is a long curved Elven sword given to the firstborn child of the Vajeon, as proof of their right to Kinghood. The blade was imbued with Holy Majik and made from a type of moonstone which allowed it to better project Majik.

Personal history

Beluar was the firstborn son of Lord Belurian, a ruler of a kingdom in Alphondis. When the Black Blood War began, his father was killed and Beluar inherited a war and a kingdom he didn't really want. He sought release from it and to live his life as a free-spirited fighter but responsibilities wait for no man. Beluar reluctantly accepted his new place in the kingdom and led his people against the Heavenly Host, led by Lord Godrick and his Blightborn Knights.

Beluar's father died when he was still a young man, forcing him into the role of 'Lord' before he was ready for such responsibility. Beluar struggled to put aside his own ambitions and desires in the interest of his people, a trait he never fully developed before his death.

Defeated by Godrick

In Asphondil, near the end of the Black Blood War, Beluar was faced with The Blightborn Knights who sought to raid his keep and slaughter his people. Beluar rallied his Dark Moon Knights to his side and repelled the invaders, eventually coming to face Commander Oshrit. They battled for seven days and on the eighth Beluar was victorious.

However, no sooner had he won had Godrick The Blighted come to face him in battle. Beluar was mighty but could not hold his own before the Demigod, eventually being forced to his knees. Her Grace, Hasadiah, sent her son to slaughter all of the Elves but Godrick thought this too severe. He could not oppose his mother but if Beluar submitted to Her punishment, only the Elves of his Kingdom would suffer, saving his species as a whole.

Beluar was battle-crazed but Godrick spoke clearly and with reason. Beluar was a fearsome opponent and a mighty Mage, to be sure, but he wasn't a warrior. He was a king, and a King always puts his people before himself. Beluar had a choice, die now as a warrior, or surrender and be remembered as a King among Kings. While Beluar was in no rush to save Elves who alienated him and his people, if there was even a slim chance his people could survive, he was going to take it.

Beluar submitted to Lord Godrick and his kinfolk were brought before Her Grace. Godrick kept his word and ensured Beluar and his people were spared but were cast out of Yggdrasil, never to return.

Founding of Svartálfheim

When cast out, Beluar led his people on a long march to the foot of the great tree where he found hordes of Khaos Daemons festering. Beluar left his Dark Moon Knights to guard their kinfolk while he descended into the hordes by himself with his blade and Majiks. But no matter how many he cut down, 10 more would rise to replace them. He was eventually overwhelmed and defeated, washing up in a nomadic Monster camp.

Beluar stayed with the Monsters for a time and came to understand the Daemons on a deeper level. His Holy Majik would not suffice and instead, he would need Khaos Majik, an art not entirely foreign to his people. He was taught the fundamentals of this art by Tanith, a Monster of exceptional renown. She explained that the lands under the great tree were ripe and full of rare but vital resources. If they were to slay the Daemon Horde, the bounty would be immense.

Beluar and Tanith formed an agreement and with her aid, returned to the Daemons, seeking the heart of the Overlord. With him dead, the Lesser Daemons would disburse and become much weaker, weak enough for his Dark Moon Knights to clean up without much trouble. With the Daemons felled, Beluar led his people to their new land and dubbed this new kingdom Svartálfheim, Land of Dark Elves.
