Paragon Imistil Tirel, The Slayer

Imistil Tirel was a legendary warrior from Asterian mythology and Khorvairian history. It is believed she grew up only a simple farmer girl in Aelyndar, in what had yet to become Thrane.

When a fight between Heliod and Purphoros caused a hydra from Asteria to land in the nearby forest, Heliod demanded that Nylea must go down and kill it herself for the nearby village had no able-bodied men. Nylea was outraged and challenged Heliod to a wager. She could pick any woman amongst that village and armed within a week would be able to train her well enough to slay the hydra. Nylea further proposed that if the woman were unable and to die, Nylea would give her own bow to Heliod but if the woman slew the hydra then Heliod must give the mortal a weapon from his own armoury. Nylea chose Imistil Tirel and watched on from Asteria as her training proved more than enough to see Imistil go on and slay the hydra. Not wanting to give up Khrusor, he bestowed onto Imistil God Sendinstead, a spear forged from the sword that he had just won off Purphoros.
