Rhea
Rhea was an Elder Dragon who was slain thousands of years ago by Kronus. He was slain alongside Thea in what Kronus' horde still celebrate as their masters greatest victory and proof of his incomparable might. Dragonborn are not known for their dedicated history keeping and communication with Kronus' horde can be particularly dangerous so it has been hard to place when exactly Rhea fell though most the preeminent scholars on the subject place it somewhere towards the end of the Age of Earth. Much debate surrounds where this titanic battle took place and where his final resting place may lie. Several ventures have been made to recover his skeleton but, despite its presumably colossal size, it has proved elusive.
Depictions in Dragonborn art differentiate Rhea from other Elder Dragons by his black scales and two forward pointing horns. There are several lesser dragons throughout history who have claimed to be children of his. With those who were encountered having been slain and no black dragon sightings for well over two hundred years, it is believed that Rhea's line has ended.
