Dragonborn are without faith. That is to say, they certainly do not see it as faith and neither do any who have seen the inner workings of a dragon kin horde. Their dedication is solely to the master who they serve. It is their master who gifts them worthy offspring and to whom they dedicate all their great deeds. The Master is God and their word is law. They claim that the moons in the sky are not glimpses of the Asterian Pantheon but the eggs of the twelve Elder Dragons who first came to Sfaíyra and from whom all other dragons have been birthed since. These beings are seemingly eternal and of a power that the dragonborn are sure outstrips that of even the Asterian gods. Why else, they ask, would these human and dwarf gods not have already moved against the Elder Dragons if they thought they could?
The Elder Dragons are not, however, a unified body. Each have their own horde and their own inscrutable goals. They have even fought and killed each other in titanic battles which are said to have made the very world tremble.
