His mother, Joan, was sort of the head of the household; a few years ago, she snapped and murdered the woman she was having an affair with. She was sent to prison, and it has torn our family apart.
My father, Larry, was mainly a financial provider. He worked 2 jobs, and did he best to still spend time with his kids. However, he has not been able to recover from the shock of what happened, and is now always home, always drunk. He is getting money from unemployment, which is been enough to get by, but he has shown no interest in getting back to working.
My sister, Lucy, we grew up very close. We were a loving family, never had too much, but always enough to stay happy and healthy. And we were taught to appreciate that. That's why our world was turned upside after the news about my mother came out. In that time, when we really should've been there for each other, we both shut the other out, distancing ourselves. My sister went on to live with this guy who I suspect was dealing drugs, but I have no evidence of that. She had his child, and he his only in her life periodically.
