The Plunging Vault

This semi-artificial cave network is about a day's ride to the northeast of Al-Jaran, where the entrance is sunk into the base of a cliff. The Vault is mostly a downward-sloping tunnel that was created by unknown agents hundreds of years ago, though this tunnel does intersect several naturally formed cave chambers before it reaches its final destination, a sealed chamber at the Vault's bottom known as the Temple of the Whale, where an unspeakable evil has been performed.
